Corporate Events Boston Presents: VIC and STICKS - Musical storytelling

Vic and Sticks and the StoryTime Band

Vicki and Rick Ethier are storytellers who take the audience back in time as they share their own original stories with a "vaudeville flair". From the top notch musicianship, to the comical and lighthearted theatrics, the Vic and Sticks show is sure to keep you entertained and on the edge of your seat.

The Nana Rosa Show

Vicki and Rick Ethier present the musical comedy "I Know My Nana Rosa Is An Alien!" Come and listen to Professor Gigglerony, the fantastic storyteller explain why Nicky Noodles believes that their Nana Rosa is from outer space. Could it be because of Nana's antenna's, "not on her head, but on her chin". Or maybe it's because of Nana's "plastic teeth"! Whatever the reason, this 45 minute original musical comedy will surely entertain.

Recommendations

Harold Martin School - New Hampshire

"I want to thank you and your team for your professional, comical, and entertaining presentation of Nana Rosa for our first day of school assembly this year. Our students were treated to a tight production complete with energetic and talented actors and singers. I also appreciate the positive nature of the script. As an added feature, the Italian ethnicity of the play was highly educational for our students who may have little experience with diverse ethnic groups".

William W Carozza Principal

Leicester Primary School - Leicester, MA

Last spring Students and teachers of Leicester Primary School were treated to a wonderful stage production of "My Nana Rosa is an Alien." We watched Nana Rosa and her family and friends interact in a warm and funny way. The music was enchaniting. Our students hummed, clapped, and laughed throughout the presentation! Highly recommended!

Marianne Donnelly

As seen in the Boston Globe and available through Corporate Events Boston we present Marianne Donnelly as 'Silver the Clown'

In an article by Mark Feeney he profiled Marianne Donnelly (50) a clown from Boston "In her line of work, she's always at play"

Silver the Clown, also known as Marianne Donnelly, loves her profession so much she wants to continue performing after reaching retirement age.

"I'd been doing performances for the Cambridge Arts Council as a vocalist and storyteller, and one day in 1986 or '87 they called Lob me and said, 'We've got an emergency. There are these kids over at the Cambridge Y, and the clown didn't show up.' I was petrified.

It was the first time in my life I wasn't ready to waltz on to a stage. Well, this little boy came out and took my hand and said, 'Come on, clown, don't be afraid.' That settled me down. I went out there - just did it all extemporaneously - and had a blast. So I studied with some clowns and took a few clowning classes.

Although I also teach and do historical performances [like Calamity Jane], I've been a clown ever since. Every clown has a trademark. Mine is a silver, glittery nose. I do magic, face painting, balloon animals. It takes me about 40 minutes to put on my makeup and get in costume.

In an emergency, I can do it in 20, but I enjoy doing it properly; it's like a ritual. I was a class clown growing up, and I've remained modestly outrageous. So now I get paid for it. It's. . exhausting, but I love it. I just feel really lucky to do it. I mean, what's retirement? I can be Silver the Clown in a wheel chair, with whistle and a sidecar for the kids to ride in."
